Caring for or loving someone with dementia can feel overwhelming, but support makes all the difference. Join us January 6th at 10:30am for our Dementia Support Group at Avista Senior Living – Yakima, led by Wendy Rohl, Certified Dementia Doula.

This is a safe, welcoming space to:

Just a few of the team that I say Merry Christmas to all!

We had a sock drive in October and collected over 80 pair of socks!

Our Sales Director Annie delivered care bags with socks and other Christmas goodies to Landmark Care & Rehabilitation to seniors in need.

Did you know many seniors living in skilled nursing or assisted living are on Medicaid and often times can’t afford necessary items like socks?

We also delivers some children’s socks to the Ywca Yakima Washington for children in need.

Games that challenge the mind and body are important in maintaining overall health. We love setting up challenges for the residents, team and family member to join in on!

I can’t wait to see what our Life Enrichment Director has up her sleeve for more fun and games.

We had a reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas by the Executive Director Leslie at lunch today. A Christmas classic enjoyed by all generations.

It’s been a busy week!!! From resident parties with great food, white elephant and games to team Christmas Spirit Week, we sure know how to “holiday” around here!

Thank you to the Lutheran choir for volunteering time to bring your beautiful caroling to Avista.

Music is a huge part of our culture at Avista. From music in the fireside room to Sing Fit, we know it’s food for the soul.

We were honored to serve a beautiful meal to our residents and their families today. Our Chefs put out a heck of a meal and the team really outperformed making sure everyone had what they needed.

We hosted 70 friends, family and our residents today! What a wonderful and fun filled day!
