This month’s All Team Meeting was all about celebrating the incredible people who make Avista feel like home every single day. 🌵❤️

Our team received cactus pencils and squishies — not because they’re prickly 😉, but because they are resilient, adaptable, and continue to bloom in any condition. Through every challenge, they continue showing up with kindness, compassion, and heart for our residents and one another.

One of the highlights of the day was our “Web of Compliments” activity, where team members shared appreciation and encouragement with each other. Watching our staff celebrate the strengths, kindness, and impact of their coworkers was a beautiful reminder of the culture we are building together.

A huge thank you to Visiting Angels for treating our entire team to mid-afternoon beverages! Your generosity and partnership mean so much to us.

We are grateful for a team that continues to lead with kindness and resilience every day. 🌟

Today’s Mother’s Day Tea & Bouquet Bar was filled with love, laughter, and so many beautiful memories 🌸☕💐

Our residents and families enjoyed homemade biscuits, refreshing cucumber sandwiches, sweet treats, warm tea, and the chance to create gorgeous custom bouquets to take home. Watching smiles bloom while spending quality time together made today truly special.

To all the mothers, grandmothers, bonus moms, and mother figures in our community — thank you for the love, wisdom, and kindness you share every day. We loved celebrating you! 💕

Today we brought out the bubbles and turned an ordinary moment into something magical. Residents and team members alike couldn’t help but smile, laugh, and join in on the fun—because you’re never too old for bubbles!

Even our Maintenance Director wasn’t safe from a little playful prank 😄 (don’t worry… all in good fun!)

Moments like these are what make our community so special—connection, joy, and a whole lot of laughter.

We’re getting so excited for our upcoming Mother’s Day Tea & Bouquet Bar! 🌸☕

There’s something so special about slowing down, sharing a cup of tea, and celebrating the incredible women who mean so much to us. This event is all about creating beautiful moments—sweet treats, warm conversation, and the chance to build a custom bouquet to take home (or gift to someone you love 💐).

We can’t wait to celebrate our amazing moms, grandmas, and mother figures in a way that feels thoughtful, fun, and full of heart.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

In senior living, mental health isn’t just important—it’s deeply personal. Our residents are navigating life transitions that many people don’t fully see: loss of independence, grief, health changes, and sometimes loneliness. These experiences can quietly impact emotional well-being in powerful ways.

For families and loved ones, there can be a mix of emotions too—guilt, worry, and the challenge of balancing support from a distance while trusting others with care.

And for caregivers… this work comes from the heart. Every day they show up with compassion, patience, and resilience, often carrying the emotional weight of others while managing their own.

This month is a reminder that mental health matters at every age.
