Katie Thorner Nutrition

Katie Thorner Nutrition Improving Health with Real Food I am a Registered Dietitian who encourages eating real food. I have a problem with the establishment (e.g.

US Department of Agriculture) deciding what is good nutrition and what we should be eating. To me, it is like letting the pharmaceutical companies mandate what drugs we should be taking. I believe that we should be letting current research guide these decisions because, if past experience has shown us anything, what we have done has not worked very well. My hope is that you will entrust me with your diet. This could be by just trying some of the suggestions that I post here or setting up an appointment so that I can customize a plan to your specific needs. I can conduct nutrition evaluations in person or on Skype- check out my website to book an appointment. Either way, I would like to show you how eating real food can lead to better health.

Made one of my favorite soups - Creamy turkey and wild rice soup. In my previous life, I made this soup with heavy cream and flour. Last night, I replaced heavy cream with cashew cream and cassava flour for the wheat flour and it turned out perfect.

One of my quick dinners. I cook salmon in a preheated cast iron skillet to 450° for 10 minutes. I usually throw some vegetables in a second skillet to cook along side. Super simple and ready in less than 30 minutes.
