We are so grateful to host our 16th year of Disaster Training Day in Vermillion! 🎉

What started as a single event has grown into something truly impactful. Because of its success, Disaster Training Day now also takes place in Mitchell, Rapid City, and Aberdeen — allowing us to reach and train even more students across the state in disaster preparedness and emergency response.

We are proud to help equip the next generation of healthcare professionals with the skills and confidence they need to respond when it matters most.

Here’s to continued growth and preparing even more students to serve their communities!

🩺✨ Skills in action! ✨🩺

Yesterday, Southeast SD AHEC had a blast hosting HOSA students as they sharpened their skills in preparation for the SD HOSA State Leadership Conference this April! Students got hands-on practice with subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, open glove technique, passing surgical instruments, and safely ambulating with gait belts and crutches. 💪

Huge THANK YOU to South Dakota HOSA -Future Health Professionals, South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations, Southeast Technical College, and Avera Sacred Heart Hospital for teaming up with us to make this awesome learning experience possible. We love seeing the next generation of healthcare professionals in action—and we can’t wait for HOSA competitions in April! 🎉🩺
