Birth preparation isn't just about learning breathing techniques. It's about building confidence in your body's ability to do this incredible work.

When you understand what's happening during labor, you can work with your body instead of fighting against unknown sensations.

Education reduces fear, support creates safety, and caring for your mind and body builds the foundation for a positive birth experience. Every step you take now is an investment in feeling prepared and empowered when your baby is ready to arrive.

Ready to start preparing for your ideal birth experience? Let's chat about creating your personalized birth plan.

When families choose to come back for baby number two, that tells you everything you need to know about their first experience.

Jocelyn's words remind us why we do this work. Creating a space where families feel truly supported, heard and cared for throughout their entire journey.

Ready to experience midwifery care that feels like family? We'd love to be part of your birth story too.

Having a cesarean doesn't mean your birthing choices are over.

VBAC is a safe, supported option for many families who want to experience vaginal birth after a previous cesarean. It's about reclaiming your birth experience and trusting your body's ability to do this work.

With the right support, education, and care team, families can welcome their babies exactly how they envision. Your previous birth doesn't define your future possibilities.

Curious about whether VBAC might be right for you? Let's chat about your options.

Those little moments of self-care aren't just feel-good extras. They're investments in your mental health, your energy levels and your overall wellbeing during this transformative time.

Whether it's a warm bath with Epsom salts, gentle prenatal yoga, or just saying no to that extra commitment so you can rest, your body is literally growing a human and deserves all the TLC.

Drop us a line if you want personalized self-care tips for your pregnancy stage.

Your body is doing incredible things right now, and staying active can help support that amazing process.

Exercise during pregnancy isn't about maintaining your pre-pregnancy routine. It's about honoring what your body needs while building strength for labor and recovery. The key is finding movements that feel good and listening to your body's signals.

Ready to chat about safe exercise options for your specific pregnancy? Let's talk about what feels right for you.

As we close out National Midwifery Week, I’m deeply moved by the stories shared by the families I’ve had the honor to walk alongside — during pregnancy, birth, and long after baby arrives.

This testimony reminds me why I continue to check in, celebrate milestones, and stay connected because midwifery is more than a model of care, it’s a relationship built on trust, presence, and love.

I’m grateful for every family who has invited me into their journey, and for this sacred calling that allows me to serve my community through compassionate, evidence-based, family-centered care.

Eating well during pregnancy doesn't have to be complicated.

Your body is working overtime to grow your little one, so nourishing yourself with the right balance of nutrients is key. Think colorful plates, plenty of water and listening to what your body needs.

Celebrating National Midwifery Week

What’s happening in Midwifery here in Suffolk County?
A whole lot of love, leadership, and collaboration ❤️

Join the conversation between Dr. Heather Findletar Hines of One Love Midwifery and Rakiya Watts, Director of the Stony Brook Midwifery Practice, as we discuss the growing movement to expand midwifery-led care, improve access, and build a stronger, more equitable birth community right here on Long Island.

Together, we’re reimagining what compassionate, evidence-based maternity care looks like…one family, one birth, and one conversation at a time.
