Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter Welcome to the Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center page. We are always in need of volunteers to help walk and socialize the animals.

The Brookhaven Animal Shelter & Adoption Center staff is dedicated to helping the homeless pets in our township. We are proud of the fact that over 94% of the animals that come to us are saved because of the implementation of adoption programs and additional adoption center hours. Additionally coalition building with private humane societies and other animal organizations, significant upgrades to the kennels and shelter atmosphere, the addition of an education room and new training programs for the staff have all contributed to recent successes. Our outreach programs provide the community with educational and pet companionship opportunities. The Help the Animals Fund provides medical care for sick and injured stray animals that previously would have had to be euthanized. Cy wants to give a HUGE thank you to the amazing Girl Scouts Troop 450 from Ronkonkoma for our incredible Christmas tree that truly keeps on giving! 🎄💚

Not only is it beautifully decorated and overflowing with holiday cheer — keeping us smiling from ear to ear — but every single ornament turns into a generous donation for our animals. How amazing is that?!

Some of our sweetest feline friends are sending out *candy cane kisses* and *mistletoe wishes* in hopes of finding a warm, loving home for the holidays. ✨❤️

We’re excited to share that the entire month of **December** is our **Home For The Holidays** celebration — which means **FREE adoptions** all month long! 🏡🎁

Bolt had the *best* day out! 🐾💙
He spent the morning stopping for a visit at My Hero in Patchogue, where he was welcomed with open arms. Bolt enjoyed a delicious scrambled egg, lots of warm, loving pets, and all the attention his sweet heart could handle.
