Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter Welcome to the Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center page. We are always in need of volunteers to help walk and socialize the animals.

The Brookhaven Animal Shelter & Adoption Center staff is dedicated to helping the homeless pets in our township. We are proud of the fact that over 94% of the animals that come to us are saved because of the implementation of adoption programs and additional adoption center hours. Additionally coalition building with private humane societies and other animal organizations, significant upgrades to

the kennels and shelter atmosphere, the addition of an education room and new training programs for the staff have all contributed to recent successes. Our outreach programs provide the community with educational and pet companionship opportunities. The Help the Animals Fund provides medical care for sick and injured stray animals that previously would have had to be euthanized. As you browse our website hopefully you will learn more about us and maybe even find a new friend.

✨Join us for our Free Rabies Clinics for Suffolk county residents over the next few months! ⭐
Certain Saturdays from 9:00am-1:00pm in conjunction with the Suffolk County Health Department.

*No reservation required *
Must be a Suffolk county Resident
Dogs must be on leash and Cats/Ferrets in carriers.
