"My name is Lauren Wenclewicz and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Behavioral Specialist (LBS) located in Yardley, PA.

I currently work with children (ages 5-12), as well as teenagers (ages 13-18) who experience difficulties with hyperactivity (e.g. attention, lack of focus, school problems), impulsivity, oppositional defiance, anxiety (e.g. social anxiety, generalized anxiety), as well as adjustment issues (e.g. divorce, change in school or family dynamics).

I also have a history of working with clients on the ASD spectrum and have a history of working on social skills (e.g. social boundaries, empathy, perspective taking).

I currently focus on utilizing CBT techniques, strength based and solution-focused techniques to help challenge thoughts and focus on strengths and solutions to help clients focus on solutions rather than problems".

The first step in seeking therapy is to acknowledge that you need help and to find a licensed therapist who is a good fit for you.

Asking for help can be challenging and scary.

You can start by asking for recommendations from friends or family members, or by searching online for therapists in your area.

It's important to do your research and make sure the therapist has experience in treating the issues you want to address.

To all of our Milestone Families: Thank you for your patience during this time. We are constantly monitoring and evaluating the Coronavirus situation during this time. We are taking instruction from the State of PA, Magellan and DHS with regard to providing services.

We continue to hear options being discussed regarding approval for things like phone call consultations, Facetime sessions, Skype, etc. As of this minute, we have zero guidance on that however. We will relay any information we get ASAP.

Obviously, we are not providing any services in any of the schools and are seeing non-school clients on a case by case basis. We are trying to be smart about all of this, follow instruction from those in authority and continue to make an effort to keep everyone safe.
