Are Your Genes Your Destiny? Until very recently, scientists would have said yes.
In fact, it was widely accepted that the genes we inherited at birth controlled everything – from our personalities to our health to our longevity. So if you were unlucky enough to inherit the gene for cancer or heart disease, you were expected – no matter who you were or how you lived – to develop that disease.
Now scientists have proven that only about 5 percent of our genes predetermine disease with that level of certainty. And the rest (a staggering 95 percent!) can be heavily influenced by lifestyle choices – and in as little as three months.
What does that mean to you? Power. Listen to my free online event where Dr. Andrew Weil and I discuss practices to create Radical Wellness. Sign up and listen now at

Do you sometimes forget? You keys? An appointment? A birthday? Or to pay a bill?
Have you also forgotten WHO you are? No really! As we "do", do we forget how to "be?"
Slowing down, seeking silence, journaling, practicing yoga, and reflecting, helps us remember not only WHAT we have to do, but WHO we are. We are spiritual beings, full of energy, vitality and designed to thrive in this world. Are you just surviving? Or are you thriving? By remembering we are beings of light, we can embrace our Dharma or "calling," in this world.
Namaste!

“Pay attention to the gap - the gap between two thoughts, the brief, silent space between words in a conversation, between the notes of a piano or flute, or the gap between the in-breath and out-breath. When you pay attention to those gaps, awareness of 'something' becomes - just awareness. The formless dimension of pure consciousness arises from within you....” -Eckhart Tolle

Abhyanga( ahh- bee- sang-ha)- self oil massage. Calms your nervous system. Boosts your immunity. Hyrdrates skin. Promotes sleep.
If you are Type A, like me, try coconut oil, after a shower, right before bed. If you are more hyper or chill by nature, try sesame oil. Long strokes on the long bones. Circular motion on the joints.
BEST. SLEEP. EVER.
