With so many injustices happening around us, here is a nod to how to be helpful during this time. We can help feed the people who are sheltering in place.

If are sheltering in place in the greater Portland area, or you know someone who is and are comfortable receiving a delivery, send me a message before Tuesday at 7am and we’ll bring a CSA share to you this Wednesday.

We have so very much to heal, but I keep coming back to the fundamental question: When did we forget that we are people standing in front of other people?

Eating well is a tiny part of the puzzle that would help.

MFFM is a statewide non-profit, started in 1991 by Maine farmers to support farmers markets and farms across the state. Among many other aspects of their work, their food access programs Maine Harvest Bucks and the Maine Senior FarmShare Program make it possible for markets like ours to be part of the solution in addressing hunger in our communities. Along with their Bumper Crop voucher program, they are supporting Maine communities plus increasing sales at Maine farmers’ markets.

We love creative, dignified solutions that immediately address and support food access for our neighbors, and farm viability! We are grateful for their partnership, and the impact their programs have at our market🥕🫜🥕🫜
