Baptist Memorial Hospital – Yazoo was proud to host the Yazoo Community Health Network meeting today at Rick’s Memorial Library. Our Administrator/CEO, Stefanie Dendy, served as the keynote speaker, sharing updates on current hospital initiatives and strategic priorities.
Several exciting updates were announced during the meeting, including the addition of Dr. Cal Wilkerson, an internal medicine pediatric physician who will be joining the Baptist Yazoo Primary Care Clinic at the end of September. We’re also expanding the clinic and completing a remodel of the emergency room check in area to improve patient flow and enhance the overall patient experience.
The discussion concluded with an open dialogue, as Stefanie invited attendees to share their thoughts on services and resources they’d like to see offered in the future. This collaborative conversation reflects our continued commitment to meeting the evolving healthcare needs of Yazoo County and the surrounding communities.

CONGRATUALTIONS to our 2nd Quarter 2026 Service First Champion, Rosemary Milner!

Rosemary was nominated by one of her Baptist team members. The nomination stated, "Rosemary is always kind and professional with patients and staff members. She has a "get the job done" attitude and goes above and beyond to do her job well. She uses the AIDET framework seamlessly as she coordinates surgical cases and ensures patients feel confident in their care team while here at Baptist Yazoo. She always greets patients and staff with a kind smile and is always willing to help with whatever she can! "I'll be happy to" is a phrase often used in her interactions with patients and staff whenever assistance is needed with a task. Rosemary is dedicated to providing competent, safe, surgical nursing care to our patients and she is one of the most easy going people I've ever met."

Rosemary has been a part of the Baptist Memorial Hospital - Yazoo Surgical and Wound Care team since 2006.
