Another wonderful visit to Treat Me with Love Project Animal Sancutary this week. As I was offering Reiki to the goats, this rooster and other chickens showed up, happy to be in the Reiki space.

I was extremely happy to see Pelo, one of the goats, who had a very traumatic experience a few months ago and as part of his healing journey we included Bach Flower Remedies 🌸

He has been taking a customized blend of flower essences for a couple of weeks and his primary caregiver has noticed a big improvement in his emotional state. Pelo has started to run, being playful and not being afraid of the other goats.🐐💕👏🏼

I can’t wait to go back to the sanctuary! 🥰

This day was created by Kathleen Prasad, honoring her beloved dog, Dakota.

Please join us in this celebration. I will be sharing distant Reiki to anybody that has a special animal in their lives. Just add their names in the comments below.

There are many Bach Flower Remedies that can be very helpful during this holiday season, depending on the emotions present at a specific time. Here are some of them:

a) Rescue Remedy. One of the most widely used remedies, Rescue Remedy, is a combination of 5 different remedies (Impatiens, Star of Bethlehem, Cherry Plum, Rock Rose and Clematis). It is used as a general remedy for demanding and stressful situations and always good to keep in hand.

b) Elm. Helpful when we are feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities and unable to cope with them. It is also a great remedy for those of us that can get overwhelmed with too many things happening at the same time.

c) White Chestnut. This remedy is recommended for obsessive, worrying thoughts that are hard or impossible to control. (Think of those times when you keep “reliving” unhappy events or arguments).

d) Honeysuckle. The holidays can also be an emotionally difficult time for people who have lost a loved one and Christmas is different than it used to be. Honeysuckle is a great remedy for feelings of nostalgia and homesickness. Another remedy that pairs really well with Honeysuckle is Star of Bethlehem, which helps us with feelings of grief, sorrow or trauma.

e) Beech. This remedy helps us when we need to be more tolerant towards others. It can be especially useful during this holiday season, when social gatherings are more common. Beech brings tolerance and compassion.

There are many remedies that can be helpful during these times. If you are not sure which remedies or combination would be best for you, feel free to contact me.

This morning, as I was walking in the forest with my pups, I felt an immense sense of gratitude for all the blessings in my life. Yes, there are challenges and difficulties, sadness and grief; but then, I looked at my family, my wonderful friends, neighbors, my teachers, my tribe and of course, my animal companions and all the animals that have touched my heart one way or another.

As a way to spread love and gratitude, I would like to offer distant Reiki to your animal companions. Post their name and species and I will include them in my Reiki offerings.

What are you grateful for today?

As I am reading this wonderful book from the late Dr Gladys McGarey (The Well-Lived Life) I came across this quote:

"If I could distill my life's work - and my purpose in writing this book- into one sentence, it's this: To be truly alive, we must find the life force within ourselves and direct our energy toward it."

Dr. Gladys shares her wisdom in how to live healthy lives, the importance of connecting with our purpose and the connection between our emotions and physical health.

This book is truly a gem ❤️

Hello everyone!

Are you curious about what Reiki can do to help your dog, cat or animal companion?

I am looking for 2 people interested in having 3 Reiki sessions for their animals with me. The sessions will be done remotely (what we call Distant Reiki) and last approximately 30 minutes.

Donation based sessions. Pay what you can / wish

Why 3 sessions? To be able to see more of the benefits of Reiki, it's ideal to have 3 sessions.

I am certified as a Level 2 Animal Reiki practitioner on the Let Animals Lead method of Animal Reiki created by Kathleen Prasad.

The pillars of this method of Animal Reiki are:
a) It is based on Japanese Reiki techniques
b) Uses touch only when animal-initiated
c) Focuses on the animal’s perfection in the present moment
d) Teaches meditation as a way to compassion
e) Develops mindfulness with animals for peace and healing
f) Honors animals as healers and teachers

If you are curious about it or have any questions, I am happy to answer them!

Comment on this post and we can chat about it

Note: I will consider in-person sessions for local people in the Yelm & Rainier area.

Note: picture of some of my beloved animal companions that love when I share Reiki with them. (Coco, Misto and Lobita)

How do you take Bach Flower Remedies?

There are different ways you can take Bach Flower Remedies.

1. Undiluted by mouth (from the stock bottle)
2. In a glass of water or other liquid.
3. In a treatment bottle (dropper bottle) This is your personal blend.
4. Remember to select up to 6 or 7 at a time

If you want help with short term emotional states, you can take 2 drops directly from the stock bottle (a single remedy bottle that you can buy online or at health food stores). You can
add 2 drops from a stock bottle to a glass of water or any other liquid and drink from it through the day, as frequently as you want, until you find relief. If you are using Rescue Remedy, you should add 4 drops instead of 2.

You can also take them like this for chronic emotional states, but you would need to add 2 drops of each remedy to a new glass or bottle of water everyday. Alternatively, you can create a custom blend using a dropper bottle. This way, your stock bottles will last longer as your custom blend will last you between 2 to 3 weeks.

How to prepare a personal mix of remedies in a dropper bottle:

🌸 Use a glass 30ml dropper bottle.

🌸 Add to this bottle 2 drops of each Bach Flower Remedy (remember to use no more than 6 or 7 single remedies) * Note: If using Rescue Remedy, remember to add 4 drops instead of 2

🌸 Top the bottle with spring water (please don’t use tap water)

🌸 From this bottle, take 4 drops, at least 4 times a day.

Your personal mix will last between 2 to 3 weeks if you keep it in a cool place (or the fridge). If you live in a warmer climate, you may want to add a teaspoon of brandy, glycerin or cider vinegar to act as a preservative and will keep the water from going off.

Today, February 5th we celebrate World Animal Reiki Day. A day created by my Reiki teacher Kathleen Prasad to honor all animals , recognizing them as teachers and healers.

February 5 was the birthday of Kathleen's first Animal Reiki teacher, Dakota, an Australian shepherd mix who was rescued from Sacramento Animal Control as a puppy and spent over sixteen years by Kathleen's side.

Besides awakening Kathleen to the benefits of Reiki for animals, Dakota inspired Kathleen to create the Shelter Animal Reiki Association (SARA).

Today, I invited you to honor the animals in your life and around the world by ighting a candle and dedicating your meditation today to an animal or animals who have been your teachers and healers. You can also listen to the World Animal Reiki Day Prayer here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LwKAIYKuOk

I also invite you to share the name of your animal companion in the comments so I can share with them Reiki today.
