We are looking forward to reopening within days. We have spent the weeks since the state wide mandatory dental office closure reviewing policies and procedures to insure everyone who visits our practice can do so with the knowledge that every infection control measure we employ meets or exceeds Washington State Department of Health and CDC requirements.
New procedures include patient screening, additional personal protection equipment for some treatment, modified patient flow during visits, eliminating unnecessary items in our waiting room, physical barriers in treatment areas and performing regular disinfection of high touch surfaces.
We will be asking patients:
To call us when they arrive at our office and to wait in their vehicle until notified that a staff member is ready to es**rt you into the office. Patients are free to and encouraged to wear their own masks. To conserve our own PPE, we will not be providing masks.
To practice social distancing and 'Cough Etiquette” while in the office. While talking with front desk staff please keep interactions brief to limit contact with front desk staff and avoid back ups of other patients.
To come to their appointments alone, family members will not be allowed to wait in the waiting room or treatment areas. Exceptions will be made for patients needing assistance due to psychical or mobility issues, translators and children 6 and younger who may have a parent es**rt the child to the treatment area and then return to the waiting room until treatment is completed. Those accompanying a patient are free to and encouraged to wear their own mask. To conserve our own PPE, we will not be providing masks.
Further, to limit the number of people in the office we are asking everyone to call our office during regular business hours, to make appointments or payments or if they have any questions, rather than coming in.
Screening questions will be asked both over the phone and at the time of appointments.
We appreciate your patience, understanding and cooperation as we strive to continue to provide excellent patient care in a safe and comfortable environment.
