Meet Genni, one of our incredible Compounding Pharmacy Technicians here at Tim’s Pharmacy & Gift Shop! 🧪⚗️💊

Genni has been in pharmacy for 25 years, and has spent almost the last 4 of those with Tim’s! 🎉 Her journey started as a part-time clerk while she was working on her degree. Safe to say, pharmacy won her over! 🙌

Genni loves finding creative compounding solutions to help patients get the medications they need when commercial options just don’t work. 💙 That kind of problem-solving and heart for our patients is what makes our compounding services so special. 🧪💊👩‍🔬

When she’s not in the pharmacy, you’ll find Genni spending time with her family and dogs 🐕 , enjoying the outdoors hiking or camping ⛺️ , or relaxing while watching Survivor!

Did you know that not all over-the-counter medications with the same purpose are the same? 💊😳 Even if two products say the same thing, like ‘pain reliever’ or ‘allergy relief’, the active ingredients and dosages can be different. Before you take any OTC medication, check the label for the active ingredient, how often you can take it, and any warnings. If you’re unsure, our pharmacists are happy to help you figure out what’s safe for you. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️🧑‍⚕️🙌💙

The days are short, and the darkness can definitely impact our moods! 🌛Here are a few tips to help combat seasonal affective disorder (aka seasonal depression):
🌞 Get sunlight when you can! Even a few minutes outdoors can help boost your mood.
🏃‍♀️ Exercise regularly. A walk, yoga, or light stretching can increase energy and reduce stress.
🧘‍♂️ Try mindfulness or meditation. A few deep breaths can help clear your mind.
💊 Talk to your pharmacist!! We can help with recommendations and talk to you about possible treatments, including light therapy or vitamins.
💡 Stay connected. Reaching out to loved ones can lift your spirits during the darker months. It’s okay to not feel okay sometimes. We’re here for you!
