Bucket List Challenge!

This week your challenge is going to be a really FUN one!! We’re already a few weeks into January, so let’s get started with our Bucket List!

Bucket lists are great because:
• They make you stop and think about what you really want to do, experience, and achieve in your life
• They are a great reminder that life is short and you should live it passionately and with intention
• They keep you in touch with your dreams and encourage you to get creative and curious!
The key to a successful bucket list… is to remove the limits from your mind!

Get it out of your head for a moment about what you “think” is possible… and dream BIG!

So, the first step is to brainstorm ideas and try to think of things you’d like to do this year as if there are no limitations.

Your bucket list should get you excited. It should stir up some emotion inside of you- if it doesn’t, then don’t add it to your list!

To avoid having too much on your list this year, try putting just one thing on your list for each month. This way, you have a plan for something fun and exciting that you want to do each month!

Get Ninja in Your Kitchen!

You read your labels, pass on the office deserts, and walk past the cookie isle at the store…..only to find that there are hidden sugars and additives lurking in your refrigerator and cabinets.

Unless you’re following a 100% whole foods diet or are super-careful reading your labels, there’s a good chance you’ve got some sugar hiding in your food.

The food industry knows just what to put in our food to keep us always wanting more…fat, salt, sugar, and additives to preserve it and make it taste better!

When these ingredients are added to packaged foods, it manipulates your taste buds to make you want them even more.

This week, I want you to go hunting in your kitchen for some guilty ingredients!

If you’ve got anything that contains any of these ingredients below, I’m challenging you to replace them with a healthier option!

• Additives like: MSG, autolyzed yeast, hydrolyzed protein, sodium caseinate, yeast nutrient, natural flavoring
• Trans-Fats: hydrogenated oil, partially hydrogenated oil or fractionated oil
• Artificial Sweeteners: HFCF, aspartame, saccharin, sucralose
• Preservatives: BHA, BHT

Your challenge this week is to get into those cabinets and inside your fridge and get rid of anything that contains any of the ingredients listed above.

Tips for setting weight loss goals
1. If you’ve got a long road ahead, create a mini goal.
2. Know your strategy and stick to it. The Why Weight program will be your guide on the journey to a healthier you.
3. Work on your fitness. While exercise alone won’t get you to your goal weight, setting fitness goals along the way might help keep you motivated.
4. Be realistic. I know we see these TV shows where people are shedding crazy amounts in a weeks time but that is not the reality of most people.
5. Track your progress. Don’t forget to take time to revel in all the hard work you’re doing — and how it’s paying off.

Snack Responsibly Challenge:

Snacks have such a bad reputation… and for a good reason considering what MOST people consider a snack!

Between the stops at the vending machine and the grab-and-go at the gas station- most people are grabbing whatever is fast, sugary, and convenient.

However- if you’re doing it right, snacks can be really great for keeping energy levels high, maintaining blood sugar, helping to nourish your body, and of course if you have kids- keeps them happy 

Choose snacks that COUNT… that are high in protein, healthy fats, and fiber to help you stay full longer and won’t spike your blood sugar.

Just because they are healthy, doesn’t mean they won’t taste great!

This holiday was first called "Discovery Day."

Since today is a day of celebration for one of our great explorers, I challenge YOU to explore a new place!

Columbus was always sailing to new places and discovering different parts of the world.

Your challenge is to do the same, but to explore somewhere new in the town we live in.

Explore a new restaurant that you’ve never been to, a local museum, a hiking trail, etc.

Whatever place you decide to explore, make the most out of it. Take pictures and share it on our page!!

Our Story

Hi. I'm Ruth Tippets, it's my goal to help you create habits to have a longer and healthier life. I have developed fun routines with your pet that will bring both of you joy.. in harmony with the life you WANT to live. You will lose weight, feel great (20 years younger!), experience bonding, healing and personal care that is unique and wonderfully fun for you and your dog. You will have healthy stress relief. You will gain confidence as you find the Princess within you.

Happy Tales Spa Print has been working on the parallels of Women' health and Dogs health for the last 20 years. Although I am a certified health coach (for humans), I like to say that everything I know I learned from the animals. Amazingly, our dogs personalities, quirks and health is similar to our own. I use all these secrets tie together integrative programs to help women lose weight and feel good about themselves inside and out….with their dog!

With 45 years experience of owning businesses in the pet industry, I have had the opportunity to live many exciting phases of dogs and their wellness. I began at the age of 7, helping my Mom raising, showing and caring for toy poodles. Later, in Anaheim we owned and operated the largest boarding, grooming, training and guard dog business. At the tender age of 16, I took over the grooming portion of the family business, as well as helping with dog training, kenneling and guard dog handling and transporting.

I have groomed dogs and cats in Germany and many states here in the US, including New York. I felt that the pet industry needed an ethical boost, so I began teaching the grooming craft to students, and currently I am setting the standards for our full service pet resorts.
