⚠Attention Yoakum and surrounding communities: ⚠
We want to make you aware of a recent telephone scam reported to us.
An individual in our community received a call from someone claiming to be from the Yoakum Community Hospital (YCH) Lab. While the caller ID displayed "Yoakum Community Hospital," the caller stated they were mailing out a medical swab and paperwork for the resident to complete and return.

⚠What You Need to Know:
It’s a Scam: This is a technique called "spoofing," where scammers mask their real phone number to look like a trusted local organization.
📣Our Policy: YCH does not mail swabs or lab paperwork to patients to be completed at home. * Protect Your Info: Never provide personal, financial, or medical information to an unsolicited caller, even if the number looks familiar.

📣Hang Up: If you receive a suspicious call like this, end the call immediately.
📣Verify: If you are concerned about a legitimate lab result or appointment, call us back directly at our official hospital number.
