A quick tip: when making an infused oil by adding freshly picked flowers or plants do NOT put on a lid that fits tightly. It will cause moisture to build up in the jar and instead of getting a wonderful infused oil you'll have a moldy mess. I use clean straining cloths held on with a rubberband or canning ring. Since new flowers are added daily the cloth is removed long enough to add new flowers and give it a good stir.

Mullein is blooming! That means it's time to make Ear Oil. I'm picking the dainty little flowers daily and adding them to organic extra virgin olive oil. Soon I'll be adding organic garlic from the garden. The oil should be ready in around six to eight weeks.

The St Johns Wort has been blooming for about a month. These pretty yellow flowers make the most beautiful purple tincture and oil. But there's a trick to getting the purple that tells you you have a potent tincture or oil. You MUST use the freshly picked flowers. Dried St Johns Wort flowers will not give you the potency you need. If it's not a deep purple it's not going to give you the results you expect. This year I'm making only tincture. The alcohol base gives it an extended shelf life and it can be used both internally and externally as a liniment.

It's farmers market season! In years past I would be busy making sure everything is ready for markets. However last year I made the decision to take the summer off from markets and concentrate on my health. While I've always enjoyed being at the markets it had gotten to the point where I was pretty burned out by the end of the season. Taking the summer off left me more time to spend in my gardens and work on other projects I had been meaning to start. And it gave me the time to rest when needed and heal.
Summer flies by so quickly here in Colorado. I have come to the difficult decision that my time at outdoor farmers markets has come to its end. But that doesn't mean I have stopped making the healing products you have come to know. As long as there is anyone who loves and needs my products I will continue to offer them. I have put pictures and a list on the featured section of this page. If you are interested in ordering you can message me here or give me a call. I am thrilled to announce I have graduated from the Love and Light School Advanced Crystal Healer certification program. I learned so much about how crystals can be used for healing the body, mind and spirit. My favorite classes were on crystal reflexology, creating gem waters, crystal healing for animals and the many formations of quartz crystals. I will continue my studies as I form a close relationship with the crystals I will be using for healing sessions and meditations.

The St Johns Wort is blooming so it's time to make tincture. When making tinctures or oils with St Johns Wort it's important to use freshly picked flowers. You'll know you have a good quality tincture or oil by the beautiful deep purple color. The flowers leave pretty purple stains on your fingers too while you harvest.
