On January 7, 2026, St. John’s Riverside Hospital partnered with Bellevue Hospital to conduct Special Pathogens Training. The purpose of this training is to strengthen the hospital’s readiness to identify, manage, and safely care for patients with Viral illnesses.
The Infection Control Department led the initiative, supported by the Emergency Management Department. This collaborative effort enhances the hospital’s ability to meet regulatory requirements and expands the regional capacity to respond to high‑consequence infectious diseases. The training also provides meaningful benefit to Westchester County and the City of Yonkers by ensuring that our staff are equipped with the specialized skills needed to care for individuals affected by these complex illnesses.
