St. John’s Riverside Hospital will be the first hospital in Westchester County to participate in a new maternity program, TeamBirth. TeamBirth improves care by calling team huddles during the birthing process with the patient, physician, caregivers (doulas, family members, etc.), and the labor and delivery staff to go over a birthing plan and any desires or expectations of the person giving birth.

Our CNO Herta Muller hosted the event and our guest speakers included Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins, New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, County Legislator Jewel Williams Johnson, President & Founder of Sister to Sister International (STSI), INC. Cheryl Brannan, and Founder & CEO of Woman to Woman Ob/Gyn Dr. Suzanne Greenidge. We were also joined by community partners, physicians, administration and our maternity leadership and staff.
