A very special visitor stopped by recently! 🐾

Our children and young adults had the sweetest surprise when an adorable therapy dog named Josie came by with her owner, Leslie, for a pet therapy visit. There were plenty of tail wags, happy smiles and gentle cuddles to go around!

Thank you to The Good Dog Foundation for such a paws-itively wonderful experience!

“It brings me such fulfillment to witness small miracles every day,” she says. “Whether it’s watching a child play a drum during a dental exam to help them cope, a parent holding their son or daughter on a sofa so their visit feels like home or a resident using medical syringes to paint and create, it’s an honor to support our children, young adults and their families during their stay with us and a blessing to be a part of their journeys.”

Seeing the Harlem Globetrotters live was a slam dunk for some of our young adults from ! 🏀

Our residents headed to Harlem to watch the world-famous team’s signature mix of incredible basketball talent, impressive tricks and laugh-out-loud moments. From spinning balls on fingertips to trick shots that seemed impossible, the arena was filled with nonstop excitement!

The highlight of the day? Meeting the players and collecting autographs after the game! Thank you to the Harlem Globetrotters for a truly unforgettable experience.

📢 Attention! You can help protect critical care and services across !

Join with us and our partners at LeadingAge New York in urging the New York State Legislature to prioritize the needs of nursing homes in this year’s final Executive Budget!

We’re calling on our public officials to ensure that half of the $1.5 billion allocated towards nursing homes and hospitals goes directly to nursing homes like . This funding must also be made permanent. We also strongly support restoring the 10% Medicaid capital cut and the remaining 5% because capital funding is essential to maintaining safe and modern facilities, supporting infection control and ensuring providers can meet financing and debt obligations. Finally, our on-site and community-based special education programs at require salary equity for staff. Without fair pay, support for students with the most complex needs is at risk.

Your voice matters and is more critical than ever. If you are a New York resident, please sign this letter today to tell your legislators to take action!

Some very special (and very furry) visitors hopped into in White Plains recently! 🐾

Thanks to Two by Two Animal Haven, our students got to enjoy a traveling petting zoo experience featuring a baby kangaroo, hedgehog, guinea pig and even a squirrel. There were plenty of smiles, lots of curiosity and a few moments of pure wonder as students met and interacted with these amazing animals.

Hands-on moments like these create joyful learning experiences our students will always remember.
