At Elizabeth Seton Children's Rehabilitation Center, Christina DeRosa, Senior Clinical Rehabilitation Therapist, has built a career filled with purpose - making a lasting impact through her work and forging meaningful friendships. This past Sunday marked the 50th anniversary of the canonization of our beloved foundress, St. Elizabeth Seton! To honor the enduring legacy of Mother Seton, Pat Tursi, Elizabeth Seton Children's CEO, Stephanie, resident, International Spokesperson and Volunteer and Paul Butler, Director of Spiritual Care and Mission Integration, and his family, all traveled to The National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Emmitsburg, Maryland to take part in a historic and grace-filled celebration! The National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Emmitsburg overflowed Sept. 14 with hundreds of visitors who filled the basilica and surrounding grounds to honor the first native-born American canonized by the Catholic Church.

Today marks a glorious moment for Elizabeth Seton Children's! We are overjoyed to announce that we have officially purchased the land for our new young adult center and successfully closed on our financing! This achievement represents the culmination of more than a decade of visionary thinking, passion and perseverance. When we first recognized the emerging aging out crisis, we chose not to stand still: we took bold action, pressing forward despite countless obstacles. In doing so, we honored the spirit of our foundress and the Sisters of Charity, New York, living out the Seton Family motto of "Hazard Yet Forward." Thank you to everyone who has joined us on the journey thus far of making our young adult center dream a reality. Together, we are shaping a future filled with dignity, opportunity and hope for young adults and their families for generations to come!
