For the hands that tied the shoes,wiped the tears,bandaged the scraped knees,and somehow still found the strength to go to work go to school do your errands pick up the kids drop them off pick them up help with homework help make dinner after a long day.
For the ones who stayed awake worrying,the ones who whispered prayers in silence,the ones who questioned themselves while still giving every piece of their heart away.
For the mothers who laugh loudly,cry privately,lose patience,then remember…they too were once children trying to understand the world.
For the women who stepped inwhen they did not have to.The grandmothers, stepmothers, aunties, mentors, caregivers, a safe place,the steady voice,the warm embrace, and Indeed, where Home is.
