This unfortunate event shows why having a birth partner who is willing to help you stand your ground and ask questions during such a vulnerable time is SO important.

Babies are born at home in silence all the time. Healthy babies do not need to cry and be made mad to breathe they need skin to skin contact with their mother and that’s all!

My heart breaks watching this, I can’t imagine watching my brand new baby be treated this way seconds after such a life changing event and my voice as a Mom shut down immediately. Medical staff needs to do better.
