Our Life Stages (Personal Care) residents kicked off Audiobook club this month in the Theatre! Together we listened to Wild Child by T.C. Boyle, bringing storytelling to life in a new way. Audiobooks are a great way for residents to enjoy literature, relax, and connect with one another through shared stories.

Even though it’s March and February has wrapped up, we still wanted to share a heartwarming highlight from our Life Stages neighborhood — Hearts Across America 2026 ❤️🇺🇸

Love truly traveled coast to coast this February! Through our Hearts Across America project, our residents received over 30 heartfelt Valentine’s Day cards from 24 different states, with the furthest one traveling all the way from Alaska! 💌

Each card brought smiles, meaningful conversations, and a reminder to our residents that kindness can travel any distance. We are so grateful to everyone across the country who took the time to share a little love with our community. ❤️

Sometimes the smallest gestures make the biggest impact.

Staying hydrated is essential for healthy aging! 🌴💦

This week our Life Stories (Memory Care) neighborhood enjoyed a Tropical Splash Refreshment Social, filled with fruity drinks, smiles, and meaningful moments together. Activities like this are not only fun—they also play an important role in supporting resident wellness.

Did you know? Dehydration is one of the most common causes of hospitalization in older adults, with an estimated 1 in 4 seniors admitted to the hospital showing signs of dehydration. Because seniors may not always feel thirsty the same way, regular hydration opportunities are so important.

By turning hydration into a social and engaging experience, we help our residents stay healthy while creating joyful moments together. Cheers to staying refreshed! 🍍🥭

🍀 We must be the luckiest community around! Not only are we the best place to call home, but we also had our very own Girl Scouts set up shop in the lobby for their cookie fundraising season.

Our residents loved supporting the girls—and the fun didn’t stop there! Some of our lucky bingo winners even received cookie coupon vouchers as their prize. 🍪

Sweet treats, community support, and plenty of smiles made for a wonderful day here at The Residence at Fitz Farm! 💚

Rooted in tradition and cultivating legacies is something that The Residence at Fitz Farm holds close to heart. 🌱

This week, our Life Stories neighborhood welcomed a very special visitor from our Life Stages neighborhood who shared his knowledge and deep connection to the land we proudly call home.

Donald Fitz joined our residents to share his family’s legacy and the story of how The Residence at Fitz Farm began. Hearing firsthand about the history of the farm made for a meaningful afternoon, and our residents truly enjoyed learning about the roots of the community they live in today.

Moments like these remind us how special it is to be part of a place with such a rich history. 💚

Supporting our veterans is something our community holds close to our hearts. 🇺🇸

We are so grateful for Dominic from Right at Home, who is a veteran himself, for spending meaningful time with our residents during Coffee & Conversation. Together, they share stories of service, training, camaraderie, and the challenges they’ve overcome — creating powerful connections rooted in respect and understanding.

We invite fellow veterans and community members to join us on the first Wednesday of every month at 11:00 AM for this special time of fellowship and conversation. ☕

Honoring those who served, one cup of coffee at a time. 💙

When our friends from Oak Creek East Aviaries aren’t in the building caring for our lovely birds, the heart of the work continues right here at home. 🐦💛

In our community, bird care is more than a task — it’s a shared responsibility and a meaningful moment. From refreshing food and water to checking in on our feathered friends, our residents don’t just participate… they contribute.

These everyday routines bring purpose, connection, and joy — reminding us all that caring for others (even the smallest among us!) truly enriches life. 💚

Strawberry Jamming & Sweet Moments Together 🍓❤️

There’s nothing sweeter than time spent together in our Life Stories Memory Care Neighborhood. This week, residents rolled up their sleeves for a little strawberry jamming and a whole lot of bonding!

With just three simple ingredients — fresh strawberries, sugar, and a squeeze of lemon — plus about two hours of stirring, laughter, and storytelling — we created something truly special.

But it’s about so much more than jam. Activities like this encourage purposeful engagement, spark memories through familiar scents and tastes, strengthen fine motor skills, and most importantly… nurture connection. Around the table, we aren’t just neighbors — we’re family.

In Life Stories, we continue to focus on meaningful moments that improve lives each and every day. 💛

Take a look at our full process and see the joy for yourself!

Our Life Stages (Personal Care) Neighborhood had a blast at 🎼 Music Bingo!

Residents tapped their toes and sang along to classics like “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” “My Girl,” and “Sweet Caroline” while marking their cards. From Valentine favorites to a little Irish flair, every song brought back special memories and plenty of smiles.

There’s nothing like the power of music to spark joy, connection, and a little friendly competition! 💜🎤 Who would you invite to be on your Music Bingo team?
