We often expect others to just “know” what we want or how we feel, but the truth is, that isn’t always so. Everyone has their own way of seeing things, and they can’t always guess what we need.

Be upfront and clear about what you want. If you don’t communicate, don’t assume or expect others to just figure it out. Sometimes we may feel like they should already know what is expected of them, but ask yourself did you communicate your needs? were you clear about what you wanted ?

Expecting how someone should behave or how things should turn out, often leads to feeling let down.

Set realistic expectations. People aren’t perfect, and neither are situations. Go with the flow a bit more and let things unfold.

If you have communicated and someone consistently isn’t able to or not willing to give what you need, it’s okay to adjust how much energy you give them instead of trying to force a change. Pull your energy back and learn to accept the situation for what it is .
