Today is the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord. On this day, we remember when Jesus went up a mountain to pray, taking with Him Peter, James, and John. While Jesus was praying, His appearance changed and His clothes became "dazzling white." Then, Moses and Elijah appeared and the voice of God the Father said, 'This is my Son, my chosen; listen to him." In 2002, Pope John Paul II chose the Transfiguration as one of the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary🙏

Yesterday, July 22nd, was the Feast of Saint Mary Magdalene. Having been healed by Jesus of seven demons, Mary is remembered for the love that she had for Jesus as she stood at the foot of the cross and for her role as the first witness to the Resurrection of Jesus.

Some people enter your life to shine light on God's love and embrace. Sandy was one of those people. In her 10 years at Misericordia she showed compassion and a genuine spirit which made her loved by her coworkers, residents, and residents' families. Sandy, we will miss you.
