☘ Irish eyes were smiling at The Village at Utz Terrace personal care residence, where residents enjoyed shamrock ice cream shakes and a lively round of St. Patrick’s Day Bingo, complete with green and themed prizes!

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, the skilled care team at The Village at Utz Terrace went all out — wearing green, playing games, and spreading plenty of cheer across every shift. A lucky leprechaun, rainbow, and pot of gold were hidden for team members to find, with one winner from each shift taking home a festive goodie bag. Congratulations to Chiemi Ridgely, Brandy Cuff, and Amanda Hollinger for their lucky finds!

The fun didn’t stop there! Team members tested their guessing skills with a jar of Lucky Charms (no going over!). Dennis Laman and Bridget Cooper took first and second place, winning pot-of-gold chocolate treats, while Pam Turka struck it big with the mega box of Lucky Charms.

As of 10:46 a.m. Friday, spring has officially sprung! According to the Farmers' Almanac, the beginning of the spring season marks the arrival of the vernal equinox, which is the turning point when daylight begins to win out over darkness. The hours of daylight will steadily grow longer until the summer solstice. 💐

Residents and team members at The Village at Kelly Drive celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in style with a festive bash including a delicious meal of corned beef and cabbage, potatoes and carrots, and Bailey’s cheesecake while live Irish tunes filled the room. 🎶💚

❤️🤝 During National Social Work Month, we recognize the caring professionals who ensure every resident’s voice is heard. Lisa Hoffman, Director of Social Services at The Village at Utz Terrace, has worked in the social work field since 2009 and will celebrate four years with Utz Terrace in May. Lisa says what she loves most about her role is building connections with residents and their families and making a positive impact during challenging times. She believes the work of social workers matters because they help ensure every voice is heard and valued.

Vickie loves spending time at the beach listening to the waves and enjoys relaxing drives through the beautiful southcentral Pennsylvania countryside. Her favorite part of working at SpiriTrust Lutheran? The residents.

Before joining us, Vickie celebrated an impressive 38-year career at Knouse Foods, one of her biggest accomplishments. If she could invent an ice cream flavor, it would be “Mystery Peach.” 🍑🍦

A favorite quote she lives by:

❤️🤝March is National Social Work Month, and we’re celebrating the dedicated professionals who advocate for residents and families every day. Rebecca Chancey, Director of Social Services at The Village at Sprenkle Drive, has spent six years in social work and a total of 10 years in long-term care. Rebecca says what she loves most about her role is advocating for those without a voice and becoming like a second family to residents — supporting them whether they’re working toward returning home or finding comfort in life’s final moments. She believes social work matters because everyone needs help at times, and social workers ensure people receive the support they need.
