God knew what He was doing when he positioned me in my profession. He knows I work better in one on one environments. I love what I do. When you work with clients one on one for years, they don’t remain clients, they become friends. People you look forward to seeing every month. You learn about their joys and passions, their struggles and hurts. You know their family by name. You hear about their adventures, their holidays and their hobbies. You get their heart. It’s amazing and beautiful and I am so grateful to God for bringing me into this and for “my friends” who keep coming back year after year. There’s only one thing that makes my job hard and that’s when one of them leaves this earth. I’ve lost 3 client friends in the last 18 months and this last one has been the hardest. Mr. R has been with me almost from the beginning. He was one of my longest clients. Mr R always came in with a smile and pictures of his granddaughters. He was generous and kind and I never heard him speak a bad thing about anybody. He was biggest supporter in that he sent me all of his friends! I’m going to miss stories of his travels and about his sweet grand babies he adored. I’m going to miss his smile and his positive outlook. I’ll be toasting you Mr. R over a ganache brownie, to a life well loved and well lived.
