Each year, The Arc of York & Adams Counties is honored to award the Dudley and Sylvia Kramer Scholarship, established in memory of two longtime advocates who devoted their lives to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This scholarship provides financial assistance to students pursuing degrees in special education, human services, or related fields, helping prepare the next generation of professionals who will promote inclusion, respect, and independence in our community.

We are grateful to continue the Kramers’ legacy by investing in future leaders who share their passion for empowering others. Eligible students are encouraged to apply and be part of this important mission. Application deadline is in March.

The School to Work – Spring 2026 group at The Arc of York & Adams Counties kicked off today, and students started strong by creating vision boards to help set goals for their future.

Recently, while sharing this program with community partners, one comment kept coming up: “I wish they had this when I was in school.” School to Work gives students hands-on, real-world learning opportunities, from understanding banking and taxes to building practical life and employment skills they can truly use.
