White Oak of York is a 109 bed skilled nursing center located within driving distance of Piedmont Medical Center. We provide long term nursing care, short term rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation services in our state-of-the-art therapy gym. Nursing care is provided by Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants. Our interdisciplinary team develops an appropriate plan of care for each individual in coordination with the physician’s orders. The service of White Oak of York is more than caring for immediate physical or medical needs. Through understanding, compassion, professionalism and respect, we strive to enhance the quality of life for each individual.

A few days ago, we put a colorful twist on our celebrations! Over the past few months, we’ve been snapping selfies, capturing candid moments, and saving smiles from both our residents and our amazing staff.

For National Coloring Day, we tried something new. With a little help from technology, those photos were turned into personalized coloring pages.

The best part? Everyone got to color themselves! The room was full of laughter, creativity, and some truly one-of-a-kind masterpieces. 🖌✨

It was such a fun reminder that the simplest activities can bring the biggest joy. Here’s to making every celebration personal, meaningful, and full of color—no matter when we celebrate it. ❤️

🌱 Garden Goals: Tomatoes Incoming! 🍅

We’ve been busy in the garden planting fresh tomatoes with the hope that we’ll have a bountiful harvest soon. With a little sunshine and a lot of care, we’re dreaming of fresh BLT sandwiches made right from our very own homegrown tomatoes. Stay tuned for garden updates—our residents are growing something great!

🎉 Father’s Day Cookout Fun! 🍗🔥

Last week we fired up the grill to celebrate our amazing dads with a festive cookout featuring smoked turkey wings—some so big we’re calling them “Dino wings”! 😄 They were juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.

While this day was all about honoring the fathers and father figures in our community, we want to give a special shout-out to our wonderful ladies who also joined the fun and enjoyed those mouthwatering turkey wings right alongside the gentlemen! Even though we didn’t catch them on camera, they were definitely part of the celebration and shared in the joy (and the food!).

Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so memorable. Happy Father’s Day to all! 💙

Last week, we brought a bit of Germany to White Oak Manor of York with our festive Oktoberfest party! Residents enjoyed tasty soft pretzels while the sounds of traditional music filled the air. 🥨🎶

The fun didn’t stop there— we hit the dance floor for some favorite tunes like the Chicken Dance and, of course, the classic YMCA! 🐔🕺💃 The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of happy feet!

A big thank you to everyone who joined in and made the day unforgettable. Cheers to good times and great company! 🍻

What a perfect way to say goodbye to summer! Our End of Summer Fried Ice Cream Social was a sweet success. Residents and staff enjoyed the beautiful weather, lively summer tunes, and of course, the star of the event—fried ice cream! Coated in Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal and deep-fried to perfection, it was a delicious treat that brought smiles all around. A big thank you to everyone who made this event special!

Last Friday at White Oak Manor in York, we had a *crazy fun* day!
* Our residents were beamed up to the mother ship for some UFO pong (non-alcoholic, of course, since our alien buddies had to drive home!
). We danced,

🌽 Fun Fridays at White Oak Manor York! 🌽 On Friday, we fired up the grill and got “corny” with some delicious grilled corn on the cob for our residents. The smell of fresh shucked corn filled the air, and the taste was unbeatable! With Father’s Day around the corner, the corny jokes were “buttering” us up and “kerneling” out non-stop! 🌽😄 In the afternoon, some of our civic-minded residents went out to vote, proving that they’re not just “a-maize-ing” in the kitchen but in the community too! Happy Friday, everyone! Here’s to more laughs and great times ahead! 🌽🔥
