Today is June 12 By tomorrow, over 70% of the people who joined a gym in January will have stopped showing up. This is a shame, because the real key to fitness and health is consistency.
To build a lifelong fitness practice:
- You have to find an exercise you like;
- You have to have an appointment to exercise (not just the desire);
- You have to be accountable to someone else (like a coach or training buddy).
Think about the fittest person you know. I’m willing to bet:
- They love their workout, whether it’s running or pickup hockey or CrossFit;
- They do it at the same time, all the time;
- They have a list of friends who they only know because of their chosen workouts.
These people aren’t more social than anyone else. They’re not exercise fanatics. They don’t have more time in their day. They’re not more disciplined, don’t have more willpower–there’s nothing that makes them “born to be fit”. It’s the other way around:
- They tried a few things until they found something they like;
- They work out because they’ve scheduled their workout in their day, not because they have more ‘free time’ than anyone else;
- They have a coach or a group or a buddy who makes sure they show up on time.

Can I be straightforward with you? — I started my fitness journey at 32 years old. I've trained at a few places, never been one for home workouts because they were way too easy to skip or slack without accountability.

Unlike cardio-focused approaches, I believe in weight training for real, lasting change in women and men. I've personally trained as much as 6x a week and as little as 3x, coaching women and men to achieve results at 3x but not less and not more than 5x—a balance of movement and rest.

If you lack self-motivation during long days or hormonal swings, seek a place with accountability. While I understand financial constraints, if my gym isn't feasible, ask me about remote/virtual training as an alternative- the emphasis on accountability is important.

What sets us apart? More emphasis on flexible 1:1 support, optional Semi Private Sessions for up to 4 people to keep sessions intimate within a small group but each participant follows their unique tailored plan- and a focus on strength training over conditioning. We genuinely care about every woman and man who walks through our doors. If you're seeking effective change, message me—invest wisely in your fitness journey. 🚨 DEAR FRIENDS, BUSY MOMS IN PARTICULAR-
I Have to apologize to you. Here’s why. Some time ago I created a group here for busy moms who wanted help making some changes to their fitness, nutrition and mindset. Life struggles got in the way and I wasn’t able to complete the mission. 😞 Since then, I have bega campaign to help busy moms get fit. 💪🏾 That isn’t all that help, I serve people from all walks of life- but growing up with a single mother struggling with no help to raise my brother and I, I have always been drawn to help. That hasn’t changed. I want create a space where you can all come to seek information ro help navigate around shuttling kids back and forth to school, getting to work, making sure breakfast, lunch and dinner is ready, focusing on a demanding career and personal life.
