Richard DiMario, DPM
Richard DiMario, DPM, is a podiatrist practicing in York, Maine. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of foot disorders such as plantar fasciitis, corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, dermatological conditions of the foot, heel and ankle pain, complications from diabetes, toenail fungus, sprains and fractures, plantar warts and tendinitis. His full-service practice also offers custom fabrication of foot orthotics with scanning technology, evaluation and care for sports injuries, and surgical options in both the office and hospital setting. A previous member of the medical staff at Massachusetts General Hospital, he currently is affiliated with York Hospital.
Dr. DiMario has been in practice for more than 30 years. He earned a bachelor of science degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey and a doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University in Pennsylvania. Following his graduation he completed a Surgical residency at Union Hospital, Union, New Jersey. He was a captain in the USAF and served as the director of the podiatry clinic at Pease Air Force Base in Portsmouth, NH for two years. Dr. DiMario is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is a member of both the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Maine Podiatric Medical Association.
When not in the office, Dr. DiMario spends time enjoying the outdoors, and is an avid lover of animals, music and the arts. He is actively involved in community theater in the seacoast area as both an actor and director and also enjoys painting and photography. His Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Moses, is the honorary office mascot and can often be found greeting patients.
