Our base’s resident groundhog disagrees with Phil on the 6 more weeks of winter! We see a warm welcome to our 3 newest members of Wellflight 2-8.

🚁 Martin, or Mick- is a new pilot at our base, but is not a new pilot, and comes to us with a lot of experience, and expertise.

🚑 Travis- comes to us full time after a short time working in our company’s western region. Travis is a very local asset, and brings knowledge of the area with his paramedic prehospital medical background.

👩‍⚕️Caeley- is a multifaceted new hire nurse, with both prehospital and intensive hospital care time under her belt. Shes the only one new to the company, but has been flying along with us and preparing for this since nursing school.

Give them all some love 💙💛!

The snow has made its arrival! ❄️

😇 One of off duty teammates spent the afternoon shoveling out their neighbors so they could attend to their healthcare jobs! Great reminder to check on our neighbors in this weather and help if you are able.💙

🚁 In the next couple of days with the fresh fallen snow, aircraft operating will be aware of the risk of “white outs” which occur on take off and landing due to our rotor wash and lightweight snow. While our pilots are trained in how to handle and mitigate this phenomenon, consider using landing zones in large plowed parking lots, or roadways! 🚒

If you get the chance to observe this, do not panic, and protect your eyes from the flying snow. Always keep your distance from aircraft operations, minimum 250 ft, and do not approach!
