A heartfelt thank you to our amazing supporters at Genesis Church - York for their incredible generosity this past Sunday!

Your donations are already helping to cover the costs of medications for patients who cannot afford them.

Recently, we learned that some patients were skipping doses of their medications simply because they couldn’t afford their prescriptions until payday. But thanks to Genesis Church, that is changing.

With their support, these patients can now receive paid prescriptions covered by the church. This will ensure that no patient delays life-saving medication because they can’t afford to pay. In addition to filling this care gap, Genesis Church’s donations are helping fund our fridge of medications from Dispensary of Hope, providing affordable insulins for patients with diabetes.

May God bless Genesis Church! Your is bringing healing and hope for the sick and poor, following the teachings of Jesus.

For many years, our annual Fall Breakfast has been a highlight. As our ministry grows, we’re excited to introduce a new rhythm with two unique and meaningful gatherings each year.👇🏽

🍁Each fall, we will now host a Partner Dinner—an intimate evening to reflect on victories, rejoice in transformed lives, and invite deeper connection as we launch our year-end campaign.

🗓️Our first Partner Dinner will be Thursday, October 23, 2025 from ⏰6-8pm at Aldersgate Church.

Katallasso Medical Director/Co-Founder Duane Evan Furman provided dozens of physical examinations and counseling sessions for students attending Crispus Attucks York this month.

We are very happy to offer free medical and emotional support to these young students with promising futures. Throughout the school year, several Katallasso volunteers provide group and individual for students navigating life decisions and challenges.

Thank you to the Dallastown Area Golden Age Club for donating some pantry and personal hygiene products for Katallasso patients!

Just outside of our exam room, we keep a table stocked with free essentials that patients are welcome to take home as needed. We’re thankful for these donors who help us care for more than just patients’ physical health.

Congratulations, Josh Coleman, on your early acceptance to the PSU College of Medicine Early Assurance Program! 🎉

Our team was cheering after receiving news from Josh about his opportunity to matriculate directly into med school. Josh regularly shadowed our volunteer providers over breaks while studying premed at Penn State.

Please join us in lifting up Josh in prayer. 🙏 May God guide and strengthen him as he takes the next step of pursuing his education.

Nurse Jess loves babies and found a very fulfilling role working with sick and premature newborns in the intensive care unit. 👩‍🍼🍼 Since 2018, she has been working with victims of violence, and now serves as a forensic . 🧬

❣️She loves the atmosphere and friendliness of Katallasso, as well as that the underserved and under-represented communities have options for receiving healthcare. She shared that “serving at Katallasso has helped me to feel closer to the York community. The staff is amazing and makes each volunteer feel welcome and accepted.”

When asked what advice she’d offer to others considering volunteering with Katallasso, she said: 👉 “Please come and just see how amazing this place is! The work is rewarding, the atmosphere is non-judgmental and friendly, and it is a low-stress way to use your skills.”

Fun fact: 😀when Nurse Jess was a stay-at-home mom, she opened a bakery. Baking is her self care; she loves to bake and share with others! 🎂

Help! There’s no more room in our fridge!

Due to an increase of new patients as well as our expansion of partnership with the Dispensary of Hope, Katallasso is in need of an additional fridge to store insulin that must be kept at a regulated temperature. 💉

This is an opportunity for someone to something tangible that will be used everyday to serve our patients. It should be a standard size (16 cubic ft), new or like-new condition, to ensure reliable storage of life-saving medications.

If preferable, you are welcome to donate the funds, and we would happily facilitate the purchase.

We’re mourning with those who mourn as we grieve with York County at the loss of our fallen law enforcement heroes.

Dear Lord, please comfort the families of officers Det. Sgt. Cody Becker, Det. Mark Baker, and Det. Isaiah Emenheiser, as they mourn the tragic loss of their loved ones.

We ask you to please give the surviving officers a complete recovery, healing physically and emotionally—and surround their families with your peace.

Please give our fellow healthcare workers the strength and wisdom needed to treat these patients and endurance to keep serving in the face of great suffering.

Lord, help our whole community to heal from this trauma and violence, as we await your return, when one day you will wipe away every tear, and end sorrow, death and pain. Come, Jesus!

Katallasso is deeply grateful for our partnership with Dispensary of Hope.

Dispensary of Hope blessed Katallasso with a new shipment of insulin, opening up access to life-saving medications for many patients. Without Dispensary of Hope’s partnership, these community members may have struggled to manage their .

These medicines will enable our volunteer doctors to treat patients without resource constraints.
