The York Adaptive Recreation Fundraiser 5K & Free Skate is happening this Saturday!

This is an incredibly inclusive and unique winter event for everyone:

You Choose Your Ride: Whether you want to SLED or SKATE, you can participate in the fun 5K or simply cruise around during the Free Skate session!

Fully Inclusive: Sleds are available for adaptive skating as needed, making sure all community members can enjoy the ice!

Your Fee Includes Skates: The $20 registration fee includes your Ice Skate Rentals!

Support a Great Cause: All proceeds benefit the vital programs of York Adaptive Recreation.

Come out and help us support a wonderful cause while sliding (or gliding!) into the holiday season!

We just got a heads-up from the Ice Arena about some great, short-notice ice time this weekend!

Saturday (Rink 2): Open Sled Hockey | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM - $15 paid to York Ice Arena Window

Sunday (Rink 2): Inclusive Open Skate | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM - $15 paid to York Ice Arena WIndow

More about Sunday's Open Skate: This is a fantastic opportunity for inclusive skating! On Rink 2, you can use one of our available sleds and skate alongside any friends or family you'd like to bring. Skates will also be available for rental from York Ice Arena.
(There's also general open skate on Rink 1, but Rink 2 is where the sleds will be!)

We're super excited to offer this inclusive session!
