Typical Life Corporation TLC takes a holistic approach in providing encouragement, person-centered support, and growth opportunities to the individuals we serve.​

Typical Life Corporation (TLC) is a private, not for profit, charitable organization that was incorporated in 1999. The agency was founded on progressive and innovative techniques in order to improve the quality of services offered to individuals who have a disability. Although disabled, the individuals served by TLC have the same rights, responsibilities, and opportunities to be active members of

society. TLC provides support to individuals from York and Adams Counties who are diagnosed with intellectual disabilities. Support is provided via licensed group homes, semi-independent living apartments, in-home support services, adult training programs, outpatient programs, faith-based programs, and vocational services. TLC's purpose is to provide supports to assist individuals with disabilities to live a normal life in the community. TLC helps individuals become active members of their community.

Brian Gabsewics is a proud supporter of Typical Life Corporation. 💚

Growing up, his mother was a dietitian for Skills and often volunteered at events like the Special Olympics, where he would spend time with her clients.

Brian strongly believes in the TLC mission and looks forward to seeing individuals at Bingo, Trunk or Treat, baseball games, our annual extravaganza, and more! As the husband of TLC Chief Financial Officer Jonelle Gabsewics, Brian has seen firsthand the passion and love that goes into what we do at TLC and the people we impact.

And with Give Local York approaching, Typical Life Corporation’s fundraising efforts will do just that! Individuals have started their own advocacy group at TLC and funds raised during our 2026 campaign will go toward trips to engage in advocacy for rights and access with state representatives, monthly meetings, outreach events, and personal growth opportunities for all participants.
