🥶 Brrr—it’s cold out there, Pennsylvania. This cold can freeze Narcan stored in cars, bags, or outdoor kits.

When frozen, the naloxone spray won’t work. Let it fully thaw at room temperature (about 15 minutes), and it will be effective again.

If an overdose is suspected, don’t wait—call 911 right away. If the person isn’t breathing or is breathing slowly, provide rescue breathing until Narcan can be given and help arrives.

Deron pulled back the curtain on just how much happens behind the scenes at Minnich’s Pharmacy — and it’s a lot more than most people realize.

Minnich’s is powered by an incredible team of 80+ employees, including pharmacists, technicians, business office staff, and a fleet of delivery drivers covering York, Lancaster, Adams, Dauphin, and beyond. They’re completing roughly 5,000 deliveries every month with seven vehicles on the road, serving both community pharmacy and long-term care patients.

One big highlight was the Minnich’s Care Card — their patient-first alternative to discount cards that actually helps customers instead of corporate PBMs. Delivery, vaccines, medical supplies, compounding medications, pet meds, hormone therapy, and emerging wellness treatments are all part of what they offer.

Minnich’s also plays a major role in the community, including distributing Narcan for York and Adams Counties through the York Alcohol & Drug Coalition, supporting first responders, schools, and local organizations. Last year alone, their team administered thousands of vaccines across Pennsylvania and Maryland.

On the long-term care side, Minnich’s serves skilled nursing, personal care, assisted living, group homes, rehab facilities, and at-home patients — with a strong focus on compliance packaging to ensure people take the right medication at the right time, often reducing medications over time.

The common theme? “Yes, we’ll try to make it happen.” Minnich’s Pharmacy continues to grow because of their people, their heart for the community, and their commitment to doing what’s best for patients. 💙
