It’s never too late to have support 🤍

One of the mamas I recently had the honor of supporting found me well into her third trimester. We connected mid-January, with her due in March. Definitely a bit of a time crunch.

But even in that short window, she chose to lean in.

She took the time to prepare.
She worked through birth education with intention.
She asked questions, learned her options, and created a plan that felt aligned for her.

And when labor came, she stepped into it with so much strength knowing she had to trust God to get her to the end. He did + she rocked it out!!

I am truly in awe of Kate. She welcomed her sweet baby boy into the world on 3/19/26.

My first doula mama & baby🤍

20 hours of labor.

And she did it.

Women are truly incredible. There is no stopping a mama in labor it’s a strength that is so deeply rooted and God-given.

And just as beautiful was watching her husband by her side the entire time, supporting, encouraging, and walking through every moment with her 🤍

This is your reminder:

Even if you feel “late” in your pregnancy… it is never too late to seek support, education, and preparation.

Is it ideal to start earlier? Of course.
But if you’re feeling unsure or in between, reach out anyway.

I am here to offer peace of mind through preparation and joy through presence.

One of the most important parts of preparing for birth is understanding that you have o p t i o n s .

Every recommendation in labor should come with informed consent, meaning you understand the benefits, risks, and alternatives before making a decision.

Tools like BRAIN can help guide conversations with your care provider:

Benefits
Risks
Alternatives
Intuition
Nothing (or more time)

Recently, one of the mamas I’m supporting found herself navigating some of these conversations as she approaches the end of pregnancy and is weighing different options that could be presented in the hospital, including the possibility of induction. Instead of feeling rushed or overwhelmed, she was able to pause, ask questions, and walk through BRAIN so she could better understand what each option might look like for her and her baby.

Birth decisions don’t have to feel confusing or pressured when you understand how to ask the right questions.

Advocacy in birth isn’t about being confrontational, it’s about being informed.

Save this for later and follow along for more physiological birth education 🤍

This morning’s prenatal with my August mama. 🤍

One of the reasons I pursued doula work was so my life as a mother and my work supporting mothers didn’t have to exist in two separate worlds.

So sometimes prenatals look like this…

My kids + hers running around outside together.
Snacks being shared.

Little ones on the swings or playing in the sand while we talk through pregnancy, parenting, marriage, and everything in between.

Motherhood doesn’t pause for appointments so we make space for it.

And honestly… these are my favorite kind of mornings.

Testimony Tuesday
On Sunday, July 9th, 2023, my life and my heart expanded in ways I’ll never forget.

At 5:00 a.m., I woke to the first gentle waves of labor. By 5:30, they were building, and I rested through them, letting my body do the work God created it to do. Hours passed in a blur of leaning, breathing, and listening to my Christian hypnosis tracks—finding peace in the middle of intensity.

By the time we arrived at the birth center, I was already 7–8 cm. Perfect timing. I slipped into the warm water, and with each deep moan and focused breath, I felt closer to meeting my baby girl.

At 12:00 p.m., my bag of waters broke, and in one moment later at 12:01p, Camila was born into the water—her little body placed straight into my arms. The room was filled with awe, joy, and tears as I held her for the first time.

Birth is holy ground. It’s raw, beautiful, and sacred. I’m forever grateful for the hands, hearts, and prayers that carried me through that day.

This birth reaffirmed my passion for helping other mamas trust the bodies God gave them, lean into His strength, and welcome their babies with peace. 💛

I wish someone told me that joy and hardship could exist in the same breath.
Motherhood has grown me, stretched me, and most of all — sanctified me.
To the new mama reading this: there is so much grace for you.
I’m cheering you on as a doula, as a mother, and as a sister in Christ.

There’s something rarely talked about in postpartum recovery…

Moms often leave the hospital expected to care for a newborn and heal from birth with very little support.

Between body pain, sleep deprivation, and the emotional weight of it all—it can feel like you’re drowning in invisible needs.

But here’s the truth: You deserve rest. You deserve nourishment. You deserve support.

As a postpartum doula, I help mamas in the York County + Charlotte area recover, replenish, and feel seen in this tender chapter. 💗

If you’re pregnant or postpartum and want to know what care could look like, I’d love to talk.

You don’t have to do it alone.
