We’re celebrating National Happy Hour Day with a toast to our well-being – and a refreshingly healthy mocktail recipe from our National Director of Culinary Services, Chef Joel Walding. 🧑‍🍳 It’s light, bubbly, and packed with ingredients that love you back.

Cucumber-Pear Electrolyte Refresher

🥒 4-5 cucumber slices – rich in beta carotene to help calm inflammation
🍐 1/2 ripe pear, sliced thin – a great source of fiber for gentle digestion
🍯 1 teaspoon honey or agave (optional) – natural sweetness with soothing antioxidants
💚 juice of 1/2 a lime – loaded with vitamin C to give your immune system a lift
sea salt – just a pinch to help your body hold on to hydration
🥥 1/2 cup coconut water – a natural way to restore electrolytes after activity
💦 1/2 cup sparkling water – the more hydration, the better In a shaker or tall glass, muddle the cucumber slices and pear with lime juice and honey or agave until juicy.

Add a pinch of sea salt and pour in the coconut water.

Fill the glass with ice cubes, then top with sparkling water.

Stir gently and garnish with a cucumber ribbon or pear slice. Cheers! 🍹

Congratulations to our Positive Partner of the month- Sarita! 👏🏼

Sarita is one of our dedicated care partners. She was nominated for her outstanding teamwork, quick responses, and going above and beyond planning Halloween costumes for the residents! She can often be found singing and dancing with the residents on their neighborhoods and making them laugh with a joke. Happy Halloween! 🎃👻

We had a spooktacular time celebrating at our party yesterday! Our culinary team put together a ghoulish spread of spiderweb guacamole, mummified pigs in a blanket, devil eggs, and a special graveyard chocolate cake! Associates competed for best costume which was won by our witch nurse, Cathy! Many residents took part in the fun of dressing up too. We had cowboys, a whole box of crayons, cats, a bee, Superman, inspector gadget and more!
