I'll be facilitating a drum circle at the Harrison Library on Tues. July 16th @ 3pm & Tues. Aug. 13th @ 3pm.

People experience a profound transformation when drumming in a group with their peers. Drumming has the unique ability to entrain the left and right brain to synchronize which creates a sense of well-being and positive emotional responses.

Because of the healing powers of drumming, there’s a growing interest in the use of drum circles to address mental health and social wellbeing issues in a non-clinical/ non-therapeutic setting. This can be particularly apt for more at-risk young people who may not engage readily with other approaches.
Let’s not forget to mention that drumming in community is the most FUN you can ever have!

I am teaching a percussion class (all levels) every Mondays 6-8pm ($10) at my studio in Yorktown Heights. I have some drums to lend out but if you have a drum please bring it. Give drop me a line to reserve a spot. I teach with passion and we drum with passion so get ready!
