🐣 A reunion worth celebrating!

Last week Heritage Yorktown welcomed back the little ones from Destiny Christian Academy for an Easter egg hunt — and it was the best kind of surprise. Their preschool used to visit our residents regularly and we are so glad to have them back! A huge thank you to Shelby and the entire Destiny Christian Academy team for making it happen.

💜 A gift from a grateful family.

The family of former resident Norma Perry — known to many as "Grandma" — recently donated a memorial clock to our Memory Care unit in her honor. It plays musical sounds every hour, just like the one she had in her own apartment.

They also sent a heartfelt note thanking our team for the kindness and dignity shown to Norma. It meant the world to our staff.

Our residents had a surprise up their sleeves. 💛

This past Friday, staff walked in to find hand-written, hand-drawn cards waiting for them — made by the very people they care for every day. Topped off with strawberry refreshers from our Activities team and Papa John's pizza, it was a Staff Appreciation Day to remember.

Samantha has already found one of her favorite spots — our beautiful front porch. She shared that she didn’t have a porch at her last apartment, and now she loves sitting outside☀️🌿
