Congratulations to Campbell, Ohio author Joseph Lambert, Jr., for being awarded The Governor Thomas Worthington Award at the just concluded Ohio Genealogical Society Conference, Kalahari Resort in Sandusky. For over a century, the families of Mahoning County have shaped its history, culture, and community. If your ancestors lived in Mahoning County before December 31, 1925, you have the opportunity to celebrate their legacy and secure your place in history by joining the Century Families of Mahoning County (CFMC).

The Century Families of Mahoning County recognizes and honors families who have been part of our community for over 100 years. Membership allows you to:

How to Apply
To become a member, you must be part of the Mahoning County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society (MCCOGS) and submit an application proving your family’s presence in Mahoning County before December 31, 1925. This includes:
📜 A completed application form (provided by MCCOGS)
📜 Clear, readable copies of documents proving your family’s residency before 1925
📜 Proof for each generation linking you to your century ancestor

The one-time application fee is only $10, covering all proven ancestors. Applications must be submitted by mail to:
