About 8 percent of the population will experience Post Traumatic Stress Disorder during their lifetime according to the National Center for PTSD. Individuals may develop PTSD when exposed to something traumatic like war or combat, physical or sexual violence, car accidents and more. Bringing awareness to PTSD means helping those who are suffering by sharing resources and staying informed on ways you can support them. (According to Operation Red Wing Foundation)

This years theme presented by NAHCA is "We Are The Champions” 🦸 created for CNAs at the skilled nursing centers, assisted living communities, and staffing home health agencies they work for so that everyone can celebrate, recognize, and pay their respects to the incredible work that the nearly 1 million-strong contingent of frontline heroes does everyday for elders and people with disabilities.

Each year, the week leading up to and including Father’s Day, is Men’s Health Week. Men’s Health Week is a great time to focus on keeping our fathers, brothers, uncles, and sons healthy — by educating them on health issues that disproportionately affect men, raising awareness of preventable health problems, and encouraging early detection and treatment of disease.
