Yesterday, we celebrated the Mahoning Valley St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This year's theme was "Forever Green: Remembering Our Own," where we honored all the past committee members and supporters of the parade. Remembering our history is what drives us forward. It was especially meaningful to have our own Judy Higgins-Reardon serve as this year's grand marshal, representing and paying tribute to everyone who contributed to making this Valley and parade so special.

Today, as we honor our funeral care colleagues around the country on National Funeral Director & Mortician Recognition Day, we want to say "thank you" for stepping into difficult situations, for offering kindness and compassion, and for going the extra mile for families in grief. Today is about you and making sure you know just how valuable you are to the community!

A survivor of polio at age 19, Ann faced months of hospitalization, and the dedication of the medical staff inspired her to pursue a career in nursing. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capital University in Columbus, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University in 1962. She went on to teach nursing at The Ohio State University for five years, sharing her knowledge and compassion with future generations of caregivers. Well done Ann. Thank you Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes for caring for our sister.
