Congratulations to Victoria House’s Employee of the Year, Joel Steider! From the first day Joel stepped into his role at Victoria House, he showed such eagerness to get to know our residents, families, and staff. With his positive attitude and his willingness to help anyone or in any area of the facility, he quickly became the strong and patient mentor that anyone could come to. Joel is a favorite among the residents, families, and staff members, and continues to have a tremendously positive impact on Victoria House every single day! We are so fortunate and blessed to have him!

We were thrilled to be able to celebrate the staff at Victoria House on their incredible survey history! The rain didn’t stop our fun at all. The only “complaint” was the size of those sandwiches! Good grief they were HUGE!! Thank you to each and every one of you for your dedication to your residents and team!!

Our color week has continued with Wednesday’s activities being focused on the color green and Thursday’s focus being the color purple. We enjoyed green sundaes with entertainment from Memory Lane Radio and a game our residents have named “green hoops” along with many other activities. Thursday, Trisha led us in a conversation about color and moods and our teams battled it out in a Purple Price is Right game. We’ll end the week Friday with a classy black and white theme with casino style games and White Russians at Happy Hour if you’re stopping by.

Our annual color week is off to a great start with lots of fun and vibrant activities on both red and blue day! Thank you to Karsyn and Brookfield for the blue chip nachos topped with blue sour cream today for our blue party and to our entertainer, Jim Balluck, who came dressed in blue to add to the fun! A message from Danielle Russo.

As the Executive Director, I enjoyed playing Cupid today... from the shopping to the art of putting each one together myself (anyone who knows me I do not have much patience with arts/crafts and making things look pretty) I had so much fun ... I enjoyed spreading love, hugs, and valentines to my wonderful staff who work so very hard each day!
