November activities schedule for Paisley House includes some fun and educational sessions like an intro to herbalism and a version of "history class and recess" for our seniors. You are NEVER too old to learn something new. Music activities are therapy with trivia and trips through the past to ignite memory. Happy November!

The Menu for November: The 27th is Thanksgiving and we could only fit the mid-day meal on the menu calendar here. The evening meal will be a lighter fair after serving all the Turkey Day nom noms earlier that day. Again, we are still waiting on word for the start of our kitchen renovations, so this menu will possibly change at some point during the month to adjust for other cooking options, catering and carry-out while the kitchen construction is taking place.

We celebrated this guy yesterday with the lunch meal of his choice and birthday cake made in-house. Happy Birthday, Melvin! We are so glad you joined our community! You may be picky about your cornbread, but that’s a good thing!🤭

Presenting...the menu and activities schedule for October! ***IMPORTANT NOTE: Exciting news!!! We are having our kitchen renovated! Work should be starting sometime this month depending on the arrival of the new materials. SO...October's menu is tentative. While the kitchen becomes a construction zone, and we are without a stove or ovens for about two weeks, we will be improvising and having fun with the menu-trying different carry out/catering options and using small electric appliances for alternate cooking methods for some meals. We want to take this temporary inconvenience and turn it into an opportunity to make meals more fun for everyone at Paisley House.***

We are over the moon and beyond grateful to Youngstown Marathon and all involved with the 2025 Sole to City Half Marathon and 2 Mile Run/Walk! Our Board of Trustees, staff and residents at Paisley House are eternally grateful to have been included as one of the 3 beneficiaries of this impressive event. Congratulations for such a big success too! Just WOW! Thank you for your hard work and dedication to making a difference in our community while bringing people together to share their passion for running! This was a fun and feel-good event to be a part of. September's Menu and Activities...Minnie Blose turns 100 on the 7th! Manicures continue on Saturdays of course, as well as massages with Erica the second Thursday of the month. Favorites with our residents are the live entertainers, BINGO, and name that tune.

Boy do we miss this wonderful family and their loved one, Ann who was a resident here at Paisley House! Thank you, Halaparda family for thinking of our staff and residents! Rick, Jackie and Sheri brought us so many snacks to share! Oh-and smiles with a visit from the fur baby. Our relationships with residents’ families are so valuable to us, and beneficial for our residents. Pictured here with the Halapardas is Wanda meeting the Halapardas for the first time.
