Missing this young lady today and wishing her all the best in her endeavors! Admin in training Briana Rich had her last day with us on Wednesday. She completed her summer internship at Paisley House. We loved having her here-and love having excuses to eat chocolate cake too! 😁

Today we all enjoyed a belated celebration of this birthday girl! We started the party with reciting our traditional Birthday prayer poem together for Ruth. Ruth decided for her special meal today we would share some Wedgwood pizzas (she had Briar Hill) a summer side salad, and strawberry pie for dessert! We all loved those choices! YUM!! Happy Birthday, Ruth! And welcome to the Paisley House family!

Look at this great list of area philanthropic organizations! We are so proud of our community and the good work these orgs are doing! Youngstown has heart! Paisley House is honored and forever grateful to be a recipient of a $5,000 grant from The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley for building improvements. Paisley House as a non-profit home has been providing seniors with a sense of security and community, and personalized assisted living care since 1909. With grants such as these, we can continue to maintain and improve the comforts of such a long standing home that was part of the Jacob Powers homestead c. late 1800's/early 1900's. This home has seen well over a century of assisted living care! We are still here thanks to grants like this one and donations from the generous people of Youngstown and surrounding areas.

July's menu (NOM NOM) along with the activities calendar. Summertime fun at Paisley House this month I'm sure will stroke some curiosity with activities like "Puppy Ball" (yes-it involves a very cute pup), "Human Target Practice"(more innocent and fun than it sounds), and "Trolls and Bridges" (yes-it involves 3 questions and a troll-Activities Director, Kerry). As always, our favorite entertainers will perform this month, relaxing massages continue and Saturdays are manicure days.
