PLEASE take time away from news, social media and/or conversations or interactions that feel overwhelming, trigger feelings of anxiety or depression or anger. Go outside, watch something funny, stretch, look for hummingbirds or anything you find to be soothing or relaxing. It’s ok and recommended to TAKE A BREAK.

Relaxation is one of the most important gifts we can give ourselves, but may also be the most difficult. Now there is an entire day dedicated to this purpose.

National Relaxation Day serves as a reminder to slow down and unwind in a world that often glorifies busyness and productivity. It emphasizes the importance of taking time for oneself to recuperate and rejuvenate, which can help prevent stress-related health issues. The day promotes mental and physical well-being by encouraging people to engage in relaxing activities and prioritize self-care. Relaxation isn't cookie cutter and needs to be tailored to each individual! What works for you may not work for someone else.
