Is the “Nurse Visa Act” REAL? Here’s the SIMPLE truth:

I’ve been getting a lot of messages about this, so let me break it down clearly:

YES……it’s a real bill.
NO……..it is NOT a law yet.

The NURSE Visa Act of 2024 (officially called the National Urgent Recruitment for Skilled Employees Visa Act) was introduced in Congress in 2024.

What it would do if passed:
• Create up to 20,000 special visas per year for nurses
• Help hospitals in shortage areas hire international nurses faster
• Potentially reduce long immigration backlogs

BUT, and this is important, it has NOT been approved or signed into law.

Right now, nurses are still going through the usual immigration pathways (like EB-3 / Schedule A). Nothing has changed yet.

So if you’re seeing posts saying “Nurse Visa Act passed!” that’s not accurate.

I’ll always keep you updated with real, verified information so you don’t make life decisions based on rumors ❤️
