As an immigrant, you realize that this is indeed not my home because you will always be reminded somehow. Your accent, your culture and more will definitely tell you apart. Your job is to showcase your skills and let them know you are here to deliver. Let your skills speak for themselves. The first few months will definitely be rough because you are trying to find your ground. You are trying to adapt and that process is not easy. You might question your decision making but definitely won't regret the move. Hang tight and learn as much as you can. Find a supportive community. Keep hope alive. You will be fine!!!

No school should withhold or refuse to send out your transcripts. Please seek legal help if you encounter this. I hear Rockview University is refusing to send out transcripts. Is it true?

Lock in if you are preparing for NCLEX. Shut down all the outside noise and put in the work. I promise you, you shall reap good things. USRN is a great thing to have behind your name!!

Here are a few things I will do if I am a registered nurse looking to move to Australia in 2026.

πŸ’™Start AHPRA as soon as I get all the requirements, this is your first step towards licensure.

πŸ’™Sit exams required, for some you will need to sit an English exam, others the NCLEX, while some OSCE.

πŸ’™Start ANMAC, even if you do not want to come in with PR, the earlier you put in your EOI the better your chances of getting invited quickly

πŸ’™ Realise that sponsorships are not as they used to be and keep your options open.

πŸ’™Stay updated with immigration updates via the immi website as these things change frequently

Most especially, have patience and stay thirsty captainπŸ’™

In your 20’s most of your friends will move abroad, it is very important you do everything humanly possible to move too.

Because your 30s and 40s will thank you for doing so at that age.
