Copays, Coinsurances, and Deductibles: What are They, and How do They Impact You?

Deductible vs. Copay? Copay vs. Coinsurance? What's the difference? The more your patients understand how their plan works, the better they'll be able to plan for your medical costs, both large and small. No doubt most of your patients have every desire and intention to pay, though they either need help understanding their invoice or currently need the financial means to.

As the financial liability shifts more and more to the patients, the best way to reduce your vulnerability of uncompensated care is to expedite the collection of your patients' responsibility — copay, coinsurance, and deductible.
