We are seeking a motivated Arborist Climber to join our growing crew! If you’re experienced in tree climbing or aerial lift work and ready to work outdoors year-round, this is your chance to grow in the arboriculture field.

• Climb trees and operate aerial lifts for pruning, removals, and more
• Identify tree species and assess risk or damage

Wake Forest friends - Have you heard about the Tree Seedling Giveaway happening soon? We encourage you to check out Forest Fest to get your free tree seedling of oak, river birch, or redbud.

The Wake Forest Urban Forestry Board (UFB) is offering residents added incentive to attend this year’s Arbor Day Tree Seedling Giveaway at Forest Fest 2025 in Wake Forest Downtown! As part of the festivities on April 26, the UFB will host the popular Arbor Day Tree Seedling Giveaway in the Town Hall Parking Lot, 301 S. Brooks St.

During the tree seedling giveaway, UFB members, Town staff and volunteers will distribute 2,700 oak, river birch, and redbud seedlings - while they last. Forest Fest begins at 10 am, so anyone interested in obtaining free tree seedlings is encouraged to arrive at the start of the event.

In addition to distributing the tree seedlings, volunteers will be on hand to help residents decide which seedlings grow best in their respective yard conditions, demonstrate proper mulching and pruning techniques and discuss simple, yet effective tree care practices. The UFB is encouraging residents to help protect the environment by bringing their own reusable shopping tote or other environmentally-friendly bag when they pick up their seedlings.
