We couldn't miss the opportunity to celebrate and honor the women in pharmacy that paved the way for those to follow to be here.

These three dynamic women entered into a male dominated industry, despite the odds, to make medicine and natural remedies more accessible and create gender equality. We honor their legacy and their fight as they made way for our Founder, Dr. Jacqueline Mbwille, to own and operate Blue Dove Pharmacy.

Mary Munson Runge shattered ceilings as the first female and first African American president elected in 1979 for the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). Runge advocated for increased access to affordable medications, improved patient care, and the advancement of women in pharmacy.

Elizabeth Gooking Greenleaf is renowed as the first female pharmacist in the US. Greenlead owned her own apothecary shop in Boston in 1727.

Susan Hayhurst was first woman to earn a degree in pharmacy from a college or university from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.
