Last week the residents at Vibrant Life celebrated National Assisted Living Week with joyful energy and plenty of fun! It was a time to celebrate our residents and the staff. It was packed with games where residents faced off against staff in a little friendly competition, bringing laughter and camaraderie to every corner. Each day featured a new theme, encouraging everyone to dress up, while the snack basket was overflowing with delicious treats for all to enjoy. Special Thank you to St. Croix Hospice, Gentiva Hospice, Heart to Heart Hospice and Everactive Therapy Group for providing us with goodies.

💪✨ Staying active as we age is all about gentle, safe, and consistent movement! Here are 3 simple seated exercises perfect for building strength and mobility:

1️⃣ Seated Arm Raises
Sit tall in a sturdy chair.
Lift both arms straight out in front on you, then up overhead.
Lower slowly back down.
👉 Repeat 10–12 times. Great for shoulder mobility and circulation!

2️⃣ Seated Leg Kicks
Sit with feet flat on the floor.
Extend one leg forward, straightening the knee.
Hold for 2 seconds, then lower.
👉 Alternate legs for 10–12 reps each. Perfect for keeping legs strong!

3️⃣ Seated Knee Marches
Sit tall and lift one knee toward your chest (like marching).
Lower and switch sides.
👉 Do 10–15 reps per leg. Helps with hip mobility and coordination!

These moves are low-impact, easy to follow, and can be done daily to support strength, flexibility, and independence.

Our August Employee of the Month is Jacob Spaulding. Thank you for everything you do at Vibrant Life and congratulations. For the past seven months, Jacob has been a part of our maintenance crew. He handles all of our maintenance-related tasks for all four buildings, inside and out. Jacob feels that getting to know each of the residents and developing a relationship with them and their families is the favorite aspect of his work. Jacob enjoys spending time outdoors when he is not at Vibrant Life. He enjoys hunting, fishing and riding dirt bikes. Once more, congratulations, and keep up the good work.
