Unlike most therapies, therapeutic recreation takes a holistic approach. It works not only within the physical domain, but the mental/cognitive, social and behavioral/emotional as well.
The ultimate goal of a recreational therapist is to help clients become as functionally independent as possible.
TREATMENT
Therapeutic recreation is performed by a nationally certified recreational therapist who use; activities, programs, community outings, and etc. within treatment sessions to facilitate engagement and improvement in an individual's overall well being.
Our mission is to provide children, adolescents, and adults with comprehensive therapeutic care to address physical, cognitive, behavioral, emotional, and social concerns. This is done through treatments and goals based off of the International Classification of Functioning.
Our goal is to provide every individual with the opportunity to receive qualified, personalized treatment with the opportunity to learn and reinforce life skills. Treatments will work toward teaching self-reliance, functional independence, and improved well-being.

“From a young age I was immersed within Developmental Disabled community which directly effected my life goal to help others. When I gained a Bachelors degree at Western Michigan University for Interdisciplinary Health Services, I fell in love with program planning and one on one personalized treatment. Which ultimately lead me to a second bachelors at Eastern Michigan University in recreational therapy and to completing a masters in Recreational Therapy at Indiana University.
After completing my bachelors at Eastern Michigan University and passing the National certification exam I became acquainted with how my profession works with Children and adolescents with physical, cognitive, development, social and behavioral disabilities/concerns. I worked within this field for more than a year. At that point I realized how many individuals were not receiving qualified specialized care, which is why this company and its programs were created.”
We off so many different activity based therapies such as; Recreational therapy, Music therapy, and Art therapy.
They are all done by certified therapists who have had through back ground checks as well as training.
We work through counties waiver programs but we also offer affordable private pay programs. Discounts are given to those who qualify, so please ask us directly about them.
