Since 2003 I have been a licensed social worker in the state of Michigan. I brings an array of knowledge and experience from previous work in Child Welfare for the State of Michigan, Huron Services Youth Residential Programs, In-Home Counseling and School Social Worker for Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor Public Schools. My clinical experience ranges from working with individuals, families and groups. My area of concentration is in working with children, adolescents and young adults by assisting them through many life challenges such as school systems e.g.(IEP - Individualized Education Program,BIP - Behavioral Individualized Plan and 504 Plan) family dynamic e.g. (blend families, strained relationship and conflict) dating violence, teen pregnancy, independent living skills depression, anxiety, adjustment and self-esteem. I also has experience providing Employee Assistance Programs and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing services. My approaches are Motivational Interviewing, Solutions Focused Practice, Strength Based Practice and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I enjoyed working in the field of behaviors, with continued focus on children, family, and academic progress. I would welcome the opportunity to continue my career growth and development.
